In-Style Software completely re-designed and upgraded  their web site using GXPortal in  a record time of two weeks . 

The new website is very dynamic, we can edit or add information very quickly and easily. The design is based on a few templates so all our pages look the same and it's easy to create new ones. 

Considering  this is the first time we used GXPortal, it was an  great achievement. We had originally estimated it would take about 4 weeks.

We believe the reasons for our success were number one the tool, which is really great and secondly the fact that we took an incremental approach and placed the site into production when it was working but not completely finished. It will probably never be completely finished; with GxPortal we'll keep adding and updating information. It already has more information than our prior site.  

Besides the content management, that for example let's us create News articles (like this one) without doing any web editing, we also took advantage of some of the other ready to use components.

We created restricted access areas for our customers and our employees in a few clicks. Then we created a New User page with the information we wanted and sent the private link to our customers. We want to communicate better with our customers and we can now send a message one or to all customers of a specific product, letting them know of new releases, news or bugs.

We created some surveys to be able to get better data from our visitors. We then created an add-in for GXPortal and converted the Surveys component into a flexible user forms module with e-mail notifications. Now, when a user fills in a form, we get an email with the information submitted plus the date and time it was submitted.  When it was ready, we just integrated it into our restricted area of the site.

We are now starting to use the FAQs component to create a glossary of technical web hosting terms instead of having to manually program this.

The pre-defined components (GXPortlets) are great, we can create user groups, or forums, or FAQs, without any programming, just by configuring the portlet. 

Our home page loads in 4.2 seconds in average, so the added functionality and moving it from html to a database is not affecting our visitor's experience adversely. We tried to keep the home page simple and not too heavy, and are satisfied with the results.
